Tim Grunhard spent his entire 11-year NFL career with the Kansas City Chiefs, and he’s made the area his home for the 20-plus years since. A native of Chicago, he is now ingrained into his “hometown” of Kansas City. He coaches here. He does radio here. He invests his time and money in charities here. He’s Kansas City, through and through. He had opportunities to leave KC as a player and many other times since then, but he couldn’t leave. He was inducted into the Chiefs Hall of Fame during the 2021 season, so his name is on the Ring of Honor. That’s appropriate because the field of Arrowhead Stadium still has some of his blood, sweat and tears sifting through the soil.
